Frequently asked questions
- What is TT Play?
- TT Play is a table tennis app for active players in Germany. TTR rating, TTR calculator, fixtures, results, league table, team, club and favorites in a single view. Independently built, free, no ads. Optimized for iPhone and iPad.
- Where does the data come from?
- Data source is myTischtennis.de, the official platform of the DTTB. Technically, data is loaded in the same way a standard web browser loads a page. The app then structures and presents that data as a personal player profile with TTR history, club context, league table, and fixtures — all in one view.
- What does TT Play cost?
- The app is free. There is no subscription and there are no in-app purchases.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Search your name, link your profile and start right away. For personal TTR data you can optionally sign in with your myTischtennis login.
- Which devices does TT Play run on?
- Currently on iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 26 or newer. An Android version is being planned and not yet available.
- Can I share players, teams, clubs or matches?
- Yes. TT Play supports sharing players, teams, clubs and matches via universal link. Opening a shared link on an iPhone or iPad with the app installed takes you straight to the matching view inside TT Play. Without the app installed, a browser preview is shown with a hint to the App Store.
- What can I save as a favorite in TT Play?
- Players, teams and clubs. All favorites live in the Favorites tab and can be filtered by type. For players you can additionally add personal notes, for example to prepare for an opponent.
- Who is behind TT Play?
- TT Play is a private, non-commercial project by Peter Kreinz, built from the perspective of an active table tennis player. The idea took shape in early 2026 as a personal contribution to table tennis in Germany: after years of declining club membership, the sport faces the challenge of attracting new players and keeping existing ones engaged. What was missing was a mobile companion that lets players of all ages check their TTR on the go, prepare for the next league match, or follow their team's results. TT Play aims to close exactly this gap — for seasoned league players and young talents alike.
- Is TT Play affiliated with myTischtennis.de or the DTTB?
- No. TT Play is an independent private project and is not affiliated with myTischtennis GmbH.
